Company Name: Lavazza UK Job Title: Head of Sales and Marketing Speaker Profile: Barry is responsible for Sales and Marketing activities at Lavazza (UK) Ltd, Italy's largest coffee supplier. He has worked in and around the UK coffee sector for over 20 years and, in addition to his current role, he has held senior positions with Douwe Egberts and Matthew Algie. During his time in the industry Barry has played an active role in the development of 'real' coffee for UK consumers (as opposed to the instant product that most UK consumers still drink at home) and has witnessed the evolution of the UK's coffee culture. A firm believer in the value of education and training, Barry has tirelessly supported the continuous improvement in 'cup quality' on the basis that a great coffee blend deserves decent equipment and a caring barista. Barry is 53 year's old, married with four children, plays golf and enjoys cooking (and eating, surprisingly). |
